Ness, a 13 year old boy with psychic powers, travels the world with his friends on a strange adventure to defeat the evil alien force Giygas This track is inspired by the story of my all-time favourite video game: Earthbound (released in 1995 for the Super Nintendo) Earthbound is such a weird, satirical, journey. Its surreal world is as compelling and extraordinary as a young 10 year old me could ever dream up. It didn't take place in a fantasy setting. Instead, you fight monsters with baseball bats, frying pans and pencil rockets. Low on HP? Order pizza delivery even if you're in the middle of a desert. You'll fight aliens, inanimate objects, and a sentient puddle of vomit. It's bizarre, humerous, and my experience with it has had a profound effect that always stuck with me growing up.
